Three Short Stories Exploring the Nature of Evil, Free on Amazon this week

Three Short Stories Exploring the Nature of Evil, Free on Amazon this week

What is evil?  Is it something supernatural, or a misfiring of the human mind? Or perhaps it is a bit of both.  These three short stories explore the subject from each of these perspectives.  They are free this week on Amazon (April 26-30, 2018).

A Dark Horse

In “A Dark Horse”, a gambler’s desire to hit a big win seems to lead him to make a Faustian bargain with a supernatural evil.  Or is it all just a string of unnaturally good luck?

Beyond the Blue Door

A girl in a dysfunctional family seeks protection and escape from the very human evils that surround her.  But does her disappearance signify a supernatural escape or the victory of human evil?

Take Me Out to the Ball Park

Perhaps the most disturbing evil of all, is the propensity of human beings to do evil, with no help from the beyond.  This story explores that aspect of evil, with an examination of how innocence and evil can seemingly interact in unexpected and macabre ways.
