Helena Puumala's childrens' story, The Summer Cottage Mystery, will be available on Amazon as a free promotion, from July 1 to July 5, which encompasses Canada Day and Independence Day in North America, and the summer school break pretty well everywhere else.
It's a nice gentle story, suitable for pre-school kids up to early junior high school. The story is set in a lake community, and features some junior sleuths searching for a lost or stolen cat, in between their other summer vacation adventures.
For an adult reader, it will bring back memories of those long, lazy summer days at the lake, whether they are reading aloud to a child or just re-immersing in their own childhood memories. As always, Helena features well drawn characters and rich, emotionally fulfilling interactions.

By the way, we are also working on a new summer story, also set at the lake. It's a sequel to the popular story "Love at the Lake", provisionally titled "A Mid-Summer Morning's Dream at the Lake". That will probably come out near the end of July.
