Galaxies M81 and M82

I wish I could say that I took these photos, but they were taken by a member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, who was selling them at a public education event.  So, for me it was more a matter of testing a scanner that I just bought - his pictures were prints, thought probably made from CCD images taken by his telescope.

So, electronic ----> analog -----> electronic. Obviously, you lose some resolution that way.

Still, they are kind of pretty.
