AI Silliness (Contradictions) - When Can You Safely Put Food in the Freezer (0F <> 0C)!

I had some trouble with a fridge thermostat, so I had to research some things.  Here is a bit of AI Silliness of the contradiction variety:

The FDA recommends keeping your freezer at 0°F. So, wait until your freezer reaches that temperature before adding food, especially if the food isn’t already frozen solid.

How do you know when the freezer reaches 0°F?

Some freezers have a built-in digital control panel that displays the temperature, so if you have one, make sure it’s functioning properly.

Otherwise, purchase an appliance thermometer to keep tabs on the temperature. Put the thermometer in the freezer, close the door, wait 15 minutes, then check the temperature. If the temperature is 0°F, you’re good to go.

You can also try the ice cube test. Fill an ice cube tray with water, pop it in the freezer, and when it freezes, you know it’s cold enough to store food.

The advice in bold font is contradictory on this important point and may even be a health hazard.

Water freezes at 32 degrees F, so the ice cube test does not work, if the required temperature at which to store food is 0 degrees F.

The mistake is understandable for a human, as water freezes at 0 degrees Celsius, so mixing these units up isn't that unusual, though people will usually catch their error, as they know these basic facts about the world.

AI generated content will also make these types of mistakes, since the AI is just picking up words that are commonly seen in close proximity.  But an AI knows nothing about the world (it knows nothing) so it won't notice its mistake.

In addition, it will often provide contradictory information in response to the same (or essentially the same) prompt.  So, don’t put to much stock in GPT generated blog content.
